Keiland Construction is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team. The Carpenter position is responsible for the full range of concrete form work and rough and finish skilled carpentry work for commercial construction. Applicant must be detail-oriented, organized, work well with others, and able to complete a wide variety of tasks while working with minimal supervision.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and sketches
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the carpentry trade
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders and forklifts
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
- Ability to read, understand, and comply with safety procedures at all times
- Solid basic math skills
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 & First Aide Certificate (can be obtained upon employment)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and/or experience that would have provided the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Performance of the essential duties of this position includes the following physical demands and/or working conditions:
- Requires the ability to perform field work involving exertion of a moderate amount of physical effort to stoop, crouch and lift in the performance of duties.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work environment may consist of uncomfortable working conditions including exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and performing inspections in confined spaces.

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator.
Keiland Construction is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare all bids for commercial construction projects, including but not limited to project buyout scoping and purchasing. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ability to review construction design plans and identify the scope of work.
- Ability to lead the estimating process from inception to submission, including takeoffs, RFI’s, client engagement, and identifying missing items or details in the scope of work.
- Manage clients, project pipeline, and bid deadlines in the company software.
- Assist in developing continuous improvement within our day to day business operations.
- Assist in creating pre-construction and post-construction schedules and documents.
- Attend pre-construction and in-progress meetings as required.
- Engage with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to assist in cost estimating.
- Work and collaborate directly with the sales person and the construction project manager.
- Evaluate revisions to the scope of work and change order requests.
- Ensure contract and scope of work requirements are being met and projects remain on budget.
- Other duties as requested by Management.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Commercial Construction Management and/or Estimating with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or an equivalent amount of experience and education is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and business management skills are required.
- Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and onscreen takeoffs.
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to review and understand construction specifications, detail drawings, construction plans, and complete scope of work.
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to work in high-stress situations.
- Must be self-motivated with a desire to always improve both personally and professionally.
- Ability to work well with others and be part of a Team.
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise construction projects of various size and complexity from start to finish. This position will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner according to requirements and without exceeding budget. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

- Four year degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study from an accredited college or university or an equivalent amount of experience and education.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity in any project management, estimating, and scheduling software programs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, especially in writing technical documents and correspondence.
- Must have strong organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.

We are looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, test, diagnose, tune, overhaul, repair, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment. Also to detect mechanical and electrical faults, repair and maintain the hydraulic components of engines. As a lead mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, shop or warehouse, inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet.
To ensure success as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the job site. Ultimately, a top-notch Heavy Equipment Mechanic can repair and service even the biggest machinery with expert care.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Driving to the job site.
- Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
- Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
- Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
- Repairing damaged equipment parts.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.
- Performing major repair work when necessary.
- Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
- Inspecting bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy construction equipment for proper performance, and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
- Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
- Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
- May perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
- Schedule maintenance for machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
- Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
- Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
- Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
- Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
- Adjust and maintain machinery, using control and regulating devices.
- Fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal.
- Direct workers who are assembling or disassembling equipment or cleaning parts.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Understanding of computer testing technologies.
- Ability to lift heavy machinery and work in cramped or awkward positions.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
- Ability to work after-hours if required.
- Good communication skills.
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Interest in machines.
- Good senses (e.g., smell, touch, etc.) - often work with grease, oil, dirt and diesel fuel, and are exposed to fumes and noise
- Problem-solving skills.
